Day 30: Letting Go

My first reaction to those words is “I’ll never let go, Jack! I’ll never let go!”

Ah, Titanic. When that movie came out, my mom wouldn’t let me go see it…ya know…’cause the boobs.

But digging down on a deeper level, letting go can be both a positive and negative thing.

We should let go of our insecurities, our fears, our doubts. We should let go of our crutches, our addictions, our bad habits. We should let go of our enemies and our grudges. By letting go, we can live and love and grow.

We should NEVER let go of our innocence, our childlike wonder. We should NEVER let go of our good memories and positive attitudes. We should NEVER let go of our family and friends and the people who make your life worth living. We should NEVER let go of our dreams and ambitions, without them we would stand still. We should NEVER let go of our morals, values and beliefs. By letting go, we can maintain the good things that make us the wonderful people we are.
